Ailment Treated : Ripe fruit eaten raw for normal blood pressure. Leaves used as tonic and astringent. Poultice of leaves applied to abdomen to relieve flatulence. Decoction of leaves are diuretic and good for rheumatism, dyspepsia, gastritis and enteritis. Roots and bark employed as emetic. Juice of roots used in piles, inflammation of spleen and chest pains.
