Ingredients : | Corms contain betulinic acid, b-sitosterol, stigmasterol, triacontane and b-sitosterol palmitate. Corms are irritant due to the composition of the corms is as arginine, histidine, leucine, lysine, methionine and valine. |
Ailment Treated : | The juice of the fresh petiole is given in insect-bite and tumours. Dried petiole is used for bleeding piles. Corms are astringent, irritant, anti-inflammatory, expectorant, carminative, appetizer, stomachic and liver tonic. |
